Garden waste service set to resume

Garden waste collections in Exeter will start up again from Monday 16 August, the City Council has confirmed.

The service had to be suspended for eight working days as a result of the current HGV driver shortage sweeping the country, caused largely by Covid-19 and self-isolation rules. Customers had their hire period extended to make up for the suspension.

STR Logistics unveiled their exciting new livery and inaugurated their newly built and refurbished Exeter offices on Tuesday 3rd August 2021. Devon pub launches craft cabin to help locals and receives top community award

The Lord-Lieutenant of Devon David Fursdon has officially opened a creative cabin at the Stoke Canon Inn in Stoke Canon.

During the opening ceremony the Lord-Lieutenant also awarded its volunteers with a Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

The cabin is to be home to a raft of local groups including arts and crafts, learn a language, history lessons, knit and natter, folk singing, book club and bingo club.

PEOPLE across Exeter are being urged to enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life as there are just weeks left until the big weekend.
