Sheila Wedlake missing from Exeter has been found safe and well. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Police are concerned for the welfare of Sheila Wedlake, 59, who has been missing from the Hatherleigh Road area of Exeter since around 4pm on Tuesday 30th August 2016.

CLIC for Christmas 2016

Following the phenomenal success of the concert last Christmas which raised nearly £10,000 for CLIC Sargent, on Friday 9th December, La La Choirs will again perform ‘CLIC for Christmas’ at Exeter Cathedral.

For the second year, the event includes running a Devon-wide secondary school choir competition with the winning school choir claiming a featured spot in the concert on the night. Entries were invited from secondary schools all over Devon. The standard of entries was excellent and the panel had a tough job whittling them down to the three finalists.

Schools invited to apply for enterprise grant

Schools have the chance to receive a share of Devon County Council’s latest round of Enterprise in Schools Grant funding.

State funded primary schools and special schools in the Devon County Council area are being invited to apply for the funding which aims to support new education projects that encourage enterprise and innovation for pupils and staff. Projects should also establish connections with the local business community.

Pregnant woman trapped in crash

Two fire appliances from Middlemoor and Danes Castle were sent to reports of a three vehicle accident, where one car had rolled over and the occupant trapped.

The accident happened in Pinhoe Road, Exeter at just before 7pm yesterday.

On arrival crews confirmed four vehicles were involved and a pregnant woman was trapped in a vehicle.

Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment and small tools to release her.

Suddenly but peacefully at home on 23rd February aged 83 years.

Devoted husband of Margaret and much loved father of Nicola. A loyal friend to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

MORAN Joan of Heavitree

Mrs Joan Moran died peacefully on Tuesday 2nd February at home with her family at her bedside. She was much loved and her loss is deeply felt.

On Wednesday 10th February at 6pm, Joan’s body will be received into the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Heavitree, Exeter, followed by Ash Wednesday Mass, 7pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday 11th February at midday, at the Blessed Sacrament with a burial at the Higher Cemetery.

On 6th January 2016 passed away peacefully in hospital aged 74 years of Cullompton.

Loving son of the late Dorothy.
