He said: "The workers have done an amazing job to turn everything around and this part of the city centre looks completely different now.

"Not only have we got a marvellous new department store, we've got a great environment for the many, many people who are going...

The TED team will be posting live from outside the store from 7.30am, so if you can't make it yourself, you won't miss a thing.

Downpours make journeys home difficult for drivers

Drivers faced a treacherous journey home after torrential rain caused flooding across Devon.

  • Hemyock, Cullompton, Stoke Canon, Broadclyst and Clyst St Mary areas

Have you entered the Santa Dash yet? Why not pop into Exeter City FC's reception and sign up for the club’s charity Santa Dash on Saturday 29th December in Exeter City centre.

For just £17 for an adult and £5 per child, you will receive your Santa Suit and your match ticket for the Barnet game which kicks off at 3pm on that Saturday afternoon. Last year saw 310 people run through the high street before watching City draw 0-0 with Scunthorpe here at St James Park and the club are hopeful of beating that total this time around. The Santa Suit sizes are as follows: Small Child: Age 2 – 7...

The Mysterious Vanishment of Pobby and Dingan

Adapted from the short story, Pobby and Dingan , by Ben Rice, The Mysterious Vanishment of Pobby and Dingan will be coming to the Northcott Theatre this Sunday and is recommended for children of nine and over. The Stage said of it "This Tasmanian writer has a quirky, audacious, wonderfully unfettered way of looking at life'.

The storyline is based around Kellyanne’s best friends, Pobby and Dingan. Her big brother Ashmol hates them. They’re invisible and they make her act weird. Everyone thinks she’s a fruitloop and it’s no fun having a fruitloop for a sister in Lightning Ridge....
