Police search for missing Tiverton woman

Police are appealing for information to locate a woman reported missing from the Tiverton area. Concerns are growing for Ann Holding, 48, who has been reported to police as missing from her home in Cadbury, between Tiverton and Crediton. New interactive information points installed in Exeter city centre

Up to date information is now available to visitors in Exeter City Centre via two interactive “monoliths”. These new information points, which have been installed at Bedford Square in Princesshay, outside Costa Coffee, and on Sidwell Street, outside John Lewis, are similar in appearance to the existing red monoliths located around the city, except they have the added functionality of a digital screen display.

£14.2m funding to nurture next generation of arts and humanities researchers

The South, West and Wales Consortium, in which the University of Exeter is joined with seven other universities – Aberystwyth, Bath, Bath Spa, Bristol, Cardiff, Reading and Southampton – has been awarded £14.2 million funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) over the next five years to deliver postgraduate supervision, training and skills development from 2014.

The consortium is one of 11 new Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTPs) and seven Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) to have been awarded a total of £164m funding from the AHRC.

Clydesdales to hit the racetrack at Exeter

A race with a difference will take place at Exeter Racecourse on Sunday 24 November when half a dozen or so Clydesdales will be thundering down the home straight with professional jockeys on board.

They belong to Tim Ancrum of Adventure Clydesdales which specializes in providing riding holidays across Dartmoor.
