Fashion retailer Oasis has been awarded the highly regarded flagship status. To celebrate its new title, the store will be holding a vintage tea party on Thursday 24 October from 4pm-8pm and customers can enjoy selected discounts of up to 15%.
Oasis has been a successful retail store since opening in Princesshay in 2007 and the new flagship status will offer customers access to a greatly increased range of Oasis products, including day and evening wear, shoes, jewellery and accessories.

Police have arrested a man after a serious assault on a woman in Exeter this morning (21 October).
Police were alerted just before 10.55am after a woman was stabbed in the Bartholomew Cemetery in Bonhay Road, Exeter.
The police helicopter assisted with the search for the suspect and he was found by officers shortly after.
The 49-year-old man from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and was taken into police custody. Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

Exeter’s mid November meeting is when students descend on Haldon Hill to enjoy a free day at the races.
Anyone who is studying, whether its for a degree, or a British Horse Society exam is welcome to attend for free, as long as they possess a valid student card.

All eyes were turned to the skies in Exeter this lunchtime (Monday 21 October) when a four-engined Hercules Transporter aircraft made a low level fly past over Exeter to mark the start of the Freedom of the City ceremony for RAF Brize Norton.
