Gwent Police are appealing for information to identify a woman (pictured) who walked into the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 7 August).
She attended the Accident and Emergency Department at the hospital just after midnight although it is not known how she got there. She has no identification documents on her and can't recall any of her personal details.

An international team, led by Dr David Llewellyn at the University of Exeter Medical School, found that study participants who were severely Vitamin D deficient were more than twice as likely to develop dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Scientists from the Universities of Exeter and Bristol have conducted a study that shows eels are losing the fight to survive when faced with marine noise pollution such as that of passing ships.
The study, published today (August 7th) in the journal Global Change Biology, found European eels were 50% less likely to respond to an ambush from a predator, while those that did had 25% slower reaction times. Those that were pursued by a predator were caught more than twice as quickly when exposed to the noise.

An Exeter PE teacher is set to run two of the UK’s great half-marathon events to raise funds for training charity St Loye’s Foundation.
Matt Upston, 39, from Heavitree will start the Great North Run alongside 56,000 entrants and some of the world’s leading athletes on Sunday 7 September, followed six weeks later by competing in the Great West Run around Exeter on Sunday 19 October.
Matt, a Schools Sports Coordinator, opted to support St Loye’s after training with Keryn Seal, the blind England International footballer who is an ambassador for the charity.
Exeter’s Cygnet theatre are celebrating today as all of the graduate cohort are signed to professional agents. The former students, who have signed to Mahoney Bannon Associates in Brighton, performed Strawberries in January at the King’s Head Pub Theatre in London, impressing the agency, who offered all of them interviews.
