The project manager of Exeter’s St Sidwell’s Point Leisure Centre has been crowned the Construction Manager of the Year in recognition of his work on the development.

Joe O’Connell, from Exmouth, who works for Kier Construction, was named the winner of the Public and Leisure category at this year’s Chartered Institute of Building’s prestigious CIOB Awards, where he was also selected as the coveted Construction Manager of the Year. Hendy Group has relaunched its Hendy Go car rental service in response to customer demand for a flexible subscription-based option.

Permanent scheme to make Magdalen Road one-way due to start early next year

A permanent scheme to make Exeter’s Magdalen Road one-way is due to start early next year.

With popular independent shops and restaurants, the road became one-way temporarily in June 2020 to support social distancing and encourage cycling and walking.
