Free Bikeability courses in Exeter

CTC, the national cycling charity, has teamed up with the Crown Estates as part of a series of summer events called Thrive, designed to make healthy living fun.

Thrive is coming to Exeter in September, offering shoppers a chance to have fun getting fit this summer.

The free one-day events are taking place in ten towns and cities across England from 4 July through to 5 September.

If you're new to cycling or want to gain greater confidence in the saddle, CTC will be on hand and ready to sign you up to our Bikeability courses - with 200 free places up for grabs!...

Support your local hospice by coming along to our Hospiscare Fete on Saturday September 5, 1pm to 5pm, on the lawn outside Wonford Hospital in Dryden Road, Exeter.

We've got a BBQ, afternoon tea, bouncy castle, face painting, crafts, toys, books, gifts and lots of games and a display of birds of prey.

A world-class field will be contesting Empire Coachbuilders Bicton Arena International Horse Trials, which run on August 22, and 23.

They include four riders in the FEI top 20 rider rankings – William Fox-Pitt, Sam Griffiths, Jonathan Paget and Paul Tapner - as well as a number of other well-known eventing stars.

World number two William Fox-Pitt will ride nine horses including his international four-star horse Cool Mountain in the open intermediate.

Glazebrook House Hotel raises £2,000 Devon Air Ambulance

South Devon’s Glazebrook House Hotel’s utterly outstanding Alice in Wonderland charity event earlier this month was a resounding success. The creative and imaginative team at the Glazebrook raised £2,057 for their chosen charity, the inspirational Devon Air Ambulance Trust.
