Have your say on Exeter's new bus station

People are being invited to have their say on plans for a new bus station in Exeter at an open forum next month.

Exeter City Council will be holding the event at the Corn Exchange in Market Street, Exeter on Thursday (3 March) between 8am and 5.30pm.

The Council want to hear from members of the public and interested groups to inform the concept design of the new bus station. The Council want to hear people's views on:

  • user facilities
  • coach arrangements
  • on street bus stops
  • arrangements during construction

The Exeter PA Network's first development event for 2016 saw over 50 PAs and support staff from organisations including Landmark, Devon County Council and Devon Air Ambulance come together to learn about 'personal brand' and its importance in the world of business today.

Jonathan Alder, from Exeter based brand agency Alder and Alder hosted the 'personal brand' session focusing on what it is, why it is important, and how taking control of your personal brand may mean the difference between an unfulfilling job and a rewarding career.

No, it’s an otter! Olly the Otter, the world’s newest superhero, is one of the attractions at Living Coasts this half term. 2016 is the year of Super Sea Heroes at Torquay’s coastal zoo. Staff and visitors will be celebrating with a variety of activities that include crafts, talks and a superhero trail. Children will be able to create their own superhero mask, design their own Super Sea Hero and follow the Super Sea Heroes Trail if they pick up a trail sheet from the main entrance. This February half-term, local brain injury charity Headway Devon will be hosting a film screening of the Disney hit Inside Out .

Taking place at the XCentre by Exeter Quay on Tuesday 16th February, this event promises to be a great way to keep the kids happy without breaking the bank.

Free confidential shredding event

Businesses and residents throughout Exeter are invited to drop off sacks of confidential waste to be shredded free of charge at a one-day event at Exeter City Football Club car park on Thursday 28 January, from 10am to 4pm.
