A leading housebuilder has contributed around £2 million towards a new school in Exeter.

Charles Church South West has revealed it has handed over the hefty cheque to Devon County Council as part of its Great Woodcote Park development off Admiral Way.

Trinity Church of England Primary School is being built in the Newcourt area of the city and is due to open in September. Without the considerable contribution towards education, it would have been unlikely that this school would be delivered.

Adults across Devon can learn a new skill for free in 2017 as part of Government research project looking at ways to improve mental health and wellbeing.

Devon County Council’s adult education service, Learn Devon, is offering free leisure courses in subjects including arts and crafts.
