Naomi Howell (University of Exeter) will explain how medieval beliefs about ghosts, bodies, and restless spirits are reflected in art, literature, and the tombs of Exeter Cathedral.

The South West’s leading scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians were recently brought together for the Big Bang South West 2014 Fair, held at the University of Exeter on Thursday the 26th June 2014.

Designed to provide an innovative careers event, the fair aimed to introduce young students to the wide variety of careers available across Scientific, Engineering and Mathematical disciplines. Exeter school choir sings for Radio 4

On Wednesday afternoon, five members of the Junior School Choir were invited to Jack Simpson House in Heavitree to take part in a recording for Radio 4's You and Yours programme, currently scheduled to be broadcast on Friday 20 June.

The children sang several songs and were interviewed by the presenter Carolyn Atkinson both individually and while chatting to the residents.

The programme will concentrate on how the charity' Kissing It Better' brings the wider community in to the home, engaging the residents with conversation and music.

Trust closure concerns for Devon Schools

Three Devon academies will need new financial sponsorship after the Department of Education (DfE) confirmed the closue of the Prospects Academy Trust. The DfE has confirmed that the government are seeking new sponsors for six schools including three in Devon after the Prospects Academy Trust will became the first academies chain to close its doors. Exeter Round Table Grills Bicton Students

Members of Exeter Round Table, representing employers from a range of Devon businesses, gave students from Bicton College a grilling this week in formal mock interviews.
