Young people across Devon are gaining vital skills, confidence and real-world experience thanks to the Chiefs Engage 16+ Programme. Leading commercial waste management firm, Devon Contract Waste, has won the contract to design and implement a bespoke Zero to Landfill waste programme for Exeter-based Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, to divert more than 140 tonnes of waste from landfill each year. Major blaze on Marsh Barton

Firefighters have been battling a major blaze in Exeter overnight.

The alarm was raised at Devon Contract Waste, Marsh Barton Road, shortly before 11pm yesterday (Wednesday).

Below is the fire service report of the incident:

A fire engine from Danes Castle in Exeter was sent to a report of the alarm system operating at 10.56.
