FORCE Cancer Charity has designated Thursday April 16 Wear Your Pyjamas To Work Day.

The idea is to lift the spirits of its supporters and help FORCE maintain the services it is offering while the country is in lockdown and beyond.

Wear Your Pyjamas To Work Day is the brainchild of FORCE Fundraising Development Officer Olly Watts.

Don’t miss out on all the family fun of Marina Day in Torquay on Saturday June 9th. It’s a big celebration of marina life with lots of activities out on the water, displays along the promenade and live entertainment.

Cupcake day raises money for dementia garden

Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust (NDHT) staff on Budlake Ward at Exeter Community Hospital recently held a cupcake day tea party for patients and visitors, to raise money towards a dementia garden at the hospital.

All cakes were handmade by the hospital’s healthcare assistants, and the dayroom was decorated with homemade bunting made by healthcare assistant, Anne Brice.

The afternoon raised £80 through donations from staff and visitors.

Family Day at Exeter Racecourse on Wednesday (March 30), sponsored by Finlake Holiday Park, will be a feast of education and entertainment that is free for all children aged 17 and under.

Two pony races begin the day’s action at 1pm followed by seven races. Thousands flock to University fun day

An estimated 2,500 people visited the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus for a fun-filled programme of free family events yesterday.

The award-winning grounds were abuzz as local residents took part in tours, a treasure hunt and a wide range of sports sessions, from football skills with Exeter City football club, to archery, touch rugby, and ultimate Frisbee.

Show how much you love Dartmoor by helping Ranger Simon Lee look after the Haytor area on his Valentine’s Day volunteer day. On 14 February the second of Simon’s Sunday work days will begin at 10.30 am and volunteers will be carrying out work to maintain the Haytor reservoir leat.

Haytor reservoir leat is marked on the first edition Ordnance Survey map which was published in the 1880s and pre-dates any of the modern housing in Haytor Vale.
