Make willow items with an expert from Windrush Willow

Come and learn how to weave with willow with an expert from Windrush Willow.

Learn how to make mats and vases out of willow and take home your own unique pieces.

The course is suitable for beginners as Richard from Windrush Willow will talk you through how to make everything and provide you with all the equipment you require.

The course takes place in the Reed Base in the heart of the beautiful Seaton Wetlands Nature Reserve.

Living Willow structure maintenance

During this course you will learn how to plant and maintain a Living Willow Structure.

This course is suitable for beginners (children over eight welcome). All tools and materials will be provided. Work with Richard, an expert from Windrush Willow  to develop your knowledge of working with willow.

This course will run outdoors whatever the weather!

Good mobility is needed for this course.

Hot drinks and some refreshments will be available during this course.

Souvenirs from Home brings together work produced in the three-year touring project ‘Home Ground’. An exhibition and workshops travelled to six towns across the UK whose football clubs have nicknames linked to their traditional craft industries: these are Sheffield United (The Blades), Crystal Palace (The Glaziers), Stoke City (The Potters), Luton Town (The Hatters), Macclesfield Town (The Silkmen) and Walsall (The Saddlers). The Great Bovey Bake Off

Home bakers from Bovey Tracey and around Devon will be competing in the Great Bovey Bake Off.

As part of Bovey’s Nourish Festival of food, craft and music, local bakers are invited to enter the competition, which has grown in popularity over the last three years since it started.

Nourish Festival of craft, food and music returns

The organisers of the Nourish Festival are looking forward to this year’s festival which takes place in early September.

The Festival will bring some of the region’s top food producers and craft makers to Bovey Tracey, alongside a programme of nationally and internationally renowned musicians.

The Nourish Food Fair will fill Bovey's high street with some of the best producers from the South West on Sat 3 September. Stalls will be selling a huge variety of locally produced food including artisan cheeses, preserves, handmade chocolates, oils, pies and speciality mushrooms.

A selection of street food will offer Caribbean, Spanish, Moroccan, wood fired Italian pizza, French crepes, Mexican, local seafood and the good old British Banger.
