Young artists inspired by A la Ronde

Children from the Holy Trinity Church 0-5 Playgroup in Exmouth have created a bright and colourful exhibition of artwork inspired by items from A la Ronde, the National Trust property near Exmouth.

This year the source of inspiration for the children’s work was a mosaic-topped table from the Drawing Room which was decorated by cousins Jane and Mary Parminter, on whose instructions the quirky 16 sided house was built.

The Hub on the Green is in a beautiful medieval building on the Cathedral Green. Our next Craft & Cake Fair is on Saturday 26th November. Our fairs are family friendly with our pop-up cafe full of delicious homemade cakes (chocolate brandy cake and the brownies are firm favourites). We have Nina Fenner's handmade books stall and she will be running a making table too which is always popular. Ceramic artist Neil Johnson opens his studio in Heavitree on the weekend of 1st and 2nd December.

Neil has been making handmade thrown stoneware pottery since the 1970's and his work includes domestic ware such as jugs, casseroles, mugs, and bowls and more decorative one-off pieces, ideal for unique Christmas gifts. His latest spotty design is one of his most popular ranges, but he also makes more traditional style pieces.

Get creative at the Darts Farm Makedo Day

Join in a fun and creative morning of Makedo! Using recycled materials and the re-useable Makedo tools, you can build anything from enchanting castles to friendly or ferocious animals to take home with you.
