This is Exeter's first ever Etsy Made Local market. Taking place at Exeter Phoenix on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December, it is part of a national event that will see the biggest regional spread of markets across the UK take part. In total 54 cities across the UK will celebrate the makers, designers and collectors that sell on Etsy.com, the online marketplace for handmade and vintage goods. It’s about encouraging people to look locally for this year’s Christmas gifting and connecting them to more than 40 South West Devon based makers and designers.
A small market town on the edge of Dartmoor will become the focus for some of the best contemporary craft in the country this June.
The Contemporary Craft Festival at Bovey Tracey is one of the key events in the national crafts calendar. Almost 200 makers from all over Britain will be demonstrating, selling and talking about their work.
Visitors to the event will be able to meet the makers and buy their work – a range of jewellery, ceramics, textiles, furniture, prints and other contemporary crafts.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, The Contemporary Craft Festival brings together exceptional work from leading makers from all over the UK and Ireland. Over 10,000 visitors are anticipated to visit one of the UK’s largest and finest craft events. To celebrate the strength of the national interest in craft the festival will have more makers exhibiting and demonstrating craft skills than ever before.
