The Recycled Candle Company is opening its doors to chaps who need inspiration, advice and beer when deciding what gifts to buy for their loved ones.

Friday 20th December is the date for last minute male shoppers who need guidance with their Christmas gift selection this year.

Etsy Made Local is back! And this time we are going BIG! Still working with Exeter Phoenix, but this time in their new venture on Gandy Street.

We’re doing a take over!

There will be familiar makers and some fabulous newcomers to the market.

All in all a wonderful contemporary festive extravaganza starting Thursday 28th November (5-9pm) during late night shopping in Exeter - we’ll have music, drinks and nibbles to get you in full swing.

We’ll then be there all day Saturday 30th November (10-6pm) and Sunday 1st Dec (10-4pm).

Etsy Made Local Exeter - Contemporary Christmas Market

This is Exeter's first ever Etsy Made Local market. Taking place at Exeter Phoenix on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December, it is part of a national event that will see the biggest regional spread of markets across the UK take part. In total 54 cities across the UK will celebrate the makers, designers and collectors that sell on Etsy.com, the online marketplace for handmade and vintage goods. It’s about encouraging people to look locally for this year’s Christmas gifting and connecting them to more than 40 South West Devon based makers and designers.

As the nights draw in and Christmas Decorations start to appear all around Exeter, Gandy Street’s Countdown to Christmas will start the season off with a spectacular Christmas Party.

On 22nd November, Gandy Street Traders will once again take to the cobbled street, spilling out onto stalls to welcome shoppers to an evening of Festive Fun and this year looks to be bigger and better than ever.

Shoppers can expect a winter wonderland with all kinds of treats, fudge and chocolate samples; prosecco, mince pies and mulled wine, cider and gin, not to mention offers and promotions...

SHOPPERS in Exeter city centre this December will be treated to a one-off musical and theatrical spectacular – all to raise awareness of youth homelessness.

Exeter-based charity Community Housing Aid is raising the profile of youth homelessness this Christmas through its project, Nightstop Devon, and in partnership with Widsith & Deor Storytelling Theatre and Urban Flow Street Dance.

Chudleigh Christmas Fayre

Chudleigh’s Christmas season kicks off on Thursday 3rd December with a Christmas Fayre in the Town Centre, organised by the Chudfest committee in partnership with Chudleigh Town Council. A welcoming lady who works in Hyde + Seek was telling me about how very few students find the quirky little shop during their first year of university as it is tucked away off the main high street. As she was saying this I realised – that’s exactly me. Now in my second year, I have only just discovered what I am sure will become one of my favourite shops in Exeter.

A zoo might not be the first place you think of when it comes to Christmas shopping, but the Living World shop at Paignton Zoo is brimming with Fair Trade products, quality ethical gifts and the sort of quirky local items that make great Christmas gifts.
