On Friday 8th December this year La La Choirs will perform the 3rd annual ‘CLIC for Christmas’ concert at Exeter Cathedral in aid of CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people. In 2015 we raised £9,600, in 2016 we raised £12,000 and for 2017 we are aiming even higher! We are thrilled to welcome headline sponsors Apple Taxis on board this year, and with their support we know we can help more families through the most traumatic time of their lives.

Once again we will be joined by guest acts who themselves have been supported by CLIC Sargent together...

Whale of a month for Devon kids

Primary schools in Devon have joined thousands of UK children to take part in a whale sized schools project throughout October.

ORCA, a leading UK marine conservation charity, is launching its first ever Whale Education Month to coincide with World Animal Day on the October 4th. The new marine conservation scheme aims to inspire pupils about the wonders of whales and dolphins, pointing out that a third of all whale and dolphin species can be found in European waters and many around the coast of Britain. Obesity crisis: Over 600 young people have type 2 diabetes

More than 600 children and teenagers are being treated for a type of diabetes normally only seen in adults aged over 40 – an increase of 14 per cent in a year – which reinforces the need for urgent action on obesity, councils warn today. AS the school summer holidays approach one Exeter housebuilder is warning youngsters across the city to stay away from its building sites.

While everybody in the UK is still wondering what the consequences the country´s path to Brexit will actually bring about, some schools like Offwell Primary from Honiton and Redhills Primary from Exeter as well as the ACE MAT from Devon have been successful in gaining Erasmus+ funding to participate in a pioneering Erasmus+ project with Spain, Italy and Latvia which is led by the English teacher, Enrique Ruiz Cano, from Andrés García Soler Primary in Spain.
