New contracts for Chiefs trio

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter has spoken of his delight after three of his current squad today put pen to paper on new deals with the Aviva Premiership club.

Props Ben Moon (top right) and Carl Rimmer (main picture), together with hooker Shaun Malton, have all agreed terms to extend their stays at Sandy Park.

Long-serving loose-head Moon has signed a new three-year deal, while Rimmer has agreed to extend his stay in Devon for a further two years. Meanwhile, Malton will be prolonging his Chiefs career for another year at least.

Carl Rimmer insists Exeter Chiefs can ill afford to dwell on their loss at Northampton Saints as Aviva Premiership rivals Gloucester now loom large on the horizon.

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter has spoken of his delight after three more of his first team squad today agreed new contracts with the Aviva Premiership club.

Props Carl Rimmer (pictured) and Ben Moon have put pen to paper on two-year deals, whilst back-row forward Kai Horstmann is extending his Sandy Park stay by another year.

The trio are the latest in a line of current Chiefs who in recent weeks have pledged their immediate futures to the Devon outfit.

Exeter Chiefs may be gearing up for a busy festive period of fixtures, but on Thursday members of the first-team squad took a morning out to pay a special visit to the Bramble Children’s Unit at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.

Exeter Chiefs and Exeter College students get baking for Red Nose Day

Three members of the Exeter Chiefs took on the challenge to bake and decorate 1,000 cup cakes to show their support for Red Nose Day 2013, and inspire everyone to get out the cake mix to raise money.

Today (Thursday Feb 28) prop Carl Rimmer and hookers Jack Yeandle and Chris Whitehead rose to the occasion and made more than a half-baked attempt at cooking Red Nose Day inspired cupcakes to encourage the people of Exeter to raise funds with their own baking skills on Friday 15 March.

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter has spoken of his delight after another three of his first-team squad today committed their futures to the Aviva Premiership club.

Prop Carl Rimmer, together with scrum-half Will Chudley and centre Phil Dollman, have all agreed to extend their stays at Sandy Park for a further two years following talks with Baxter in recent weeks.

The news is yet another welcome boost for the Chiefs, who last week confirmed that forwards Luke Cowan-Dickie and Chris Whitehead, had also agreed new terms.
