The survey, commissioned by musicMagpie, found that the average Brit spends 2 hours and 9 minutes each day procrastinating at work, which is costing businesses over £21 billion per year.
Unsurprisingly, phones are a major source of procrastination, with the average UK worker spending 28 minutes each day using messaging apps, 7 minutes on Instagram, 16 minutes on Facebook and 5 minutes on Twitter.

Latest statistics show that more new businesses were established in Devon during 2019 than in any previous year – hitting a record high for the second year in a row.
Despite political and economic challenges, 6,196 new companies were registered in the county compared to 5,908 during 2018, representing an increase of 4.9%.
This brings the total number of registered companies in Devon to 53,264, up from 51,129 at the end of 2018 - which equates to 4.2% growth.

Exeter College’s U18 Academy has once again been invited to represent England Schools and Colleges, competing with teams from around the world, at the prestigious ‘Sanix World Youth Invitational U18 Rugby Tournament’ to be held in Japan this spring.
The event, hosted by the Japan Rugby Union, takes place in Fukuoka from 26th April – 6th May 2019. The Exeter squad is set to take on teams from Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, France and Wales. In total there will be 10 international teams at the tournament competing over a 10-day period.

The Centre for Cities Outlook report for 2019 shows Exeter bucking the trend when it comes to the health of its businesses.
Cities Outlook 2019 is an annual health check of the 63 largest cities in the UK.
Whilst other cities across the country have seen a significant increase in High Street shops and businesses closing down, Exeter is showing the complete opposite, with a 2 per cent fall in closures.
