Devon Elevation Fund launched to help businesses and local organisations

Small businesses and local communities in the county are being invited to apply to a new grant scheme launched by Devon County Council.

The Devon Elevation Fund (DEF) is funded through the UK Community Renewal Fund.

The scheme is offering grants of between £2,500 and £25,000 to projects that help businesses and community organisations to:

• Respond to the different trading environment resulting from COVID-19 • Plan for future growth and development • Develop new products and services • Improve infrastructure • Assess the feasibility of future initiatives...

A new business support programme has been launched offering a range of business training and support services for the self-employed and small to medium size enterprises (SMEs) in Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay. Winners of this year’s Tech South West Awards have been revealed at a live ceremony at the new multi-million pound Market Hall and Immersive Dome venue in Plymouth.

Three companies from Devon have been named as some of the best rural businesses in the country after winning at the regional heat of the Rural Business Awards.

Apricot Centre CIC from Dartington, Rull Orchard Ltd from Thorverton and The Outdoors Group from Shillingford Abbot all scooped prizes at the South West regional finals of the Rural Business Awards in partnership with Amazon, which took place virtually this year.
