Mayor to break ground £5m Exmouth hotel

The Mayor of Exmouth, Cllr John Humphreys is to ‘break the ground’ as work starts on the new £5m Premier Inn for Exmouth next Tuesday.

Cllr Humphreys will be joined in the cermony by New Openings Manager for Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants Carly Wintle, for Whitbread PLC, to offically begin work on the construction of Exmouth’s new 60-bedroom Premier Inn, with cafe and conference facilities, which will open for business in spring 2015.

Cutting-Edge Health Centre Will Improve Patient Care

A newly-built £27.5 million health education and research centre is now open, streamlining the process from discovery to patient care. The state-of-the-art Research, Innovation, Learning and Development (RILD) building is a partnership between the University of Exeter Medical School and the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust (RD&E).

Part-funded by the Wellcome-Wolfson Foundation, the building is innovative in every way – it will enhance collaboration between the two organisations, and has already been nominated in two categories of the Michelmores Western Morning News...

Post Easter start for Exmouth’s Premier Inn

Work on the new 60-bedroom Premier Inn on the former Elizabeth Hall site in Exmouth is scheduled to begin at the end of April.

Premier Inn is close to completing its final preparation work before starting work on site. It has concluded its negotiations with its chosen contractor and is working with East Devon District Council to fulfil the final requirements of the planning consent, before the start of construction.

Once on-site, the appointed contractors will complete the development quickly and to the highest standard, with an anticipated opening date of early 2015....

Business on target says leading South West housebuilder

The managing director from one of the South West’s leading housebuilders says he’s pleased with the performance of the business and believes it’s firmly on track to meet end of year expectations.

Devon Contractors get to work for Chulmleigh School

Devon Contractors, which is based in Clyst St Mary, celebrates work beginning on a new £1.8 million build for Chulmleigh Community College. The project will be a fantastic addition to the facilities at Chulmleigh both for the students and the wider community.

Students will take Drama, Music, Science, Modern Foreign Languages and Humanities lessons in the new building. Year 7 twins Andrea and Nicholas Robinson (pictured), whose favourite subjects are Art and Drama respectively will be some of the first to benefit from the new facilities.
