Boots Hearingcare , the leading private hearing care provider in the UK, is calling on Brits to improve the quality of their life, with the business estimating that as many as FOUR MILLION people are enduring the early signs of hearing loss unnecessarily.

An early 2020 study showed that there were 11 million people with hearing loss in the UK - a number that is estimated to grow to 14.2 million by 2035 - while approximately 8.8 million of that figure already are seeking support and help, either through the public or private sector.

New outpatient pharmacy opens at RD&E

Patients at the Royal Devon and Exeter (RD&E) hospital can now benefit from a more convenient outpatient prescription service thanks to a new Boots pharmacy which has opened its doors to the public. The new Boots UK outpatient pharmacy service is located on the ground floor in the main hospital corridor. The dispensary will enhance patients’ experience while visiting the hospital, help to reduce waiting times and free up RD&E pharmacy staff to focus on inpatient care.

Exeter High Street to undergo essential paving improvements next month

Essential improvement work is to be carried out on pavements in Exeter High Street next month.

The 11 week scheme, which will improve the surface of the footway on the majority of High Street, will start from the upper end, near Boots, on Monday 9 September.

No major excavation work will be carried out, but granite paving slabs which are cracked, loose or rocking will be replaced in order to prevent them becoming a safety issue.

The opportunity will also be taken to carry out some surface drainage work improvements.
