West Country accountants and financial planners Old Mill are sponsoring Children’s Hospice South West’s 2016 £50 challenge in a bid to raise £25,000 for the North Devon based charity.

The £50 Challenge is an annual event where local businesses compete against each other to turn a £50 start-up investment into as much money as they can over a three month time frame, with all money raised going directly to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW). Firm donates IT equipment to Exeter Foyer

Exeter-based accountancy firm Simpkins Edwards has donated a variety of IT equipment, including 44 PC screens, to Exeter Foyer to be used by its young residents as part of their work, training and educational programmes.

Old Mill have used pedal power to raise £7,916 for Yeovil charity School in a Bag.

Thirteen staff from West Country accountants and financial planners took part in Paris to Yeovil (P2Y) - a 300 mile cycle ride from Paris to their offices at Maltravers House in Yeovil.

The money raised will help Yeovil based charity School in a Bag (SIAB)deliver rucksacks filled with stationery, learning resources and eating utensils to poor, orphan, vulnerable and disaster affected children.

Exeter accountants celebrate 25th birthday

Business owners and directors from 160 companies met at an historic West Country setting to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Exeter firm Sidaways Chartered Accountants.

The Chapter House at Exeter Cathedral was the historic venue for the celebration event, which was also helping to raise money for the company’s charity partner, Devon-based Farms for City Children.

A team of accountants swapped their books for Wellington boots when they paid a visit to their newly-adopted charity.

Exeter-based Sidaways were given a VIP tour of Farms For City Children at Nethercott House, near Iddesleigh.
