Financial experts Old Mill have appointed Financial Planner and digital advice specialist Hugh Johnson to the Wealth Management team.

Hugh, who is originally from Canterbry in Kent, began his career in financial services in 2008, working as a foreign exchange broker in the City of London before finding his vocation in financial advice where he felt he could add more value to his clients.

Independent accountancy firm Griffin Chartered Accountants has moved to new offices in Exeter’s premier office park at Pynes Hill just two miles from the city centre.

The move comes just five years after the company opened its first Exeter office at Exeter Business Park. South West accountancy firm Griffin Chartered Accountants has appointed a second Partner.

Laura Waycott joins founder Misty Nickells at the firm, which was founded in 2015 to provide accountancy and auditing services to a range of businesses, academies and charities and has two offices, in Exeter and Honiton.

Westcotts, a UK top 50 firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, has relocated its offices in Okehampton to new larger premises from today (Wednesday 21 September).

Exeter based Old Mill launches Stamp Duty Land Tax team

Exeter financial experts Old Mill has created a specialist in-house team covering the complexities surrounding Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT).

Previously, this function was outsourced to a third-party, but Old Mill's Tax Team will now handle all queries.
