RES and Octopus Renewables have signed a three-year spares management contract which will see RES supply inverter spares for the clean energy investor’s solar assets in the UK.

Growing demand for extra space is driving searches for property in Exeter, according to new data released today by Zoopla , the UK’s most comprehensive property destination.
The data, which studied the most searched terms in 2020 by buyers in Exeter, shows that additional space is the key demand for home hunters in the city. Fuelled by the lockdowns and various restrictions that have been in place since March, eight of the ten most searched-for terms by property hunters relate to increased indoor and outdoor space.
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) is asking people to welcome the start of 2021 safely, and not make unnecessary 999 calls.
The NHS is experiencing high demand for its services, due to the ongoing coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic alongside normal winter pressures.
SWASFT dealt with around 2,600 incidents a day between 19 and 28 December, and is expecting a busy New Year.
It is asking people only to call 999 in a life-threatening emergency, and to contact NHS 111 for less serious medical problems.

Motorists with new and used zero emission cars will be able to have their vehicles fitted with the new green number plates at all Hendy dealerships in Devon.
The plates, which feature a green strip on the left hand side of the registration number, identify zero emission vehicles. It is hoped that they will help local authorities implement new policies such as cost-free entry into zero emission zones, and encourage more people to make the switch to eco-friendly driving ahead of the ban on traditional fossil fuel vehicles in 2030, recently moved forward from 2040.

Exeter City Council will be making extra emergency accommodation available to rough sleepers over the coming days as temperatures are set to dip below freezing.
The City Council stressed that nobody needs to be sleeping outside and has activated its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) in light of the worsening forecast for tonight (Wednesday) and the next four nights.
