A new business support programme has been launched offering a range of business training and support services for the self-employed and small to medium size enterprises (SMEs) in Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay. Taylor Wimpey continues its support for community parkrun in Cranbrook

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the local community, Taylor Wimpey Exeter has donated a further £750 towards parkrun events at Cranbrook Country Park.

150 cats from the South West have found their forever homes in the past year, thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

Cats Protection’s centres in Cornwall, Exeter and Ferndown helped dozens of locals find a new feline friend in 2021.

One such cat was Scarab, who was originally adopted from the Cornwall Adoption Centre in 2020 but went missing shortly after.

Chilcotts Auctioneers final sale of 2021 was a roaring success, not least a collection of antique silver spoons that had garnered huge amounts of interest.

‘The Charles C Brian Collection’ included many excellent examples of rare early West Country spoons, some dating back to the late 16th century.

In total, 53 lots of spoons were sold together with several additional items of Exeter. The initial estimate of £20,000 to £30,000 was quickly exceeded, with the final hammer total reaching an impressive £43,000.
