Experts are encouraging cyclists to carry out some crucial bike checks for their safety before heading out on the roads.

Leisure bike brand Bobbin Bikes are giving Brits a list of the most important bike checks to ensure a safe journey as we head towards warmer weather and more daylight hours.

Making obvious checks on brakes and tyres are important as are those less obvious to novice cyclists like gears and chains.

Brewin Dolphin southwest raises over £12,000 for local children’s charity

Wealth manager Brewin Dolphin’s southwest offices (Exeter, Plymouth and Truro) have raised over £12,000 for Farms for City Children, during a two-year partnership with the charity, which began in 2020. The money raised will be able to subsidise around 39 children’s residential stay at a farm for one week.

Employees from all three offices took part in various fundraising activities to raise money, including Christmas auctions and raffles and the Brewin Dolphin 7-Day Challenge, which saw members from the respective offices walk, run or cycle 655 miles collectively over seven days....
