Situated just outside Exeter Devon on the B3181, Poltimore House and Grounds provides a great venue to celebrate the nostalgia of British Vehicles.

Come and take a stroll around our house and grounds, and view the magnificent vehicles on display.

This event relates to British-based clubs/independent enthusiasts rather than just British marques.

Admission on the day for spectators: £2 adults, £1 children.

Entertainment and enthuisast related sellers will be onsite throughout the day.

Dogs on leads welcome and refreshments will be available, 11am-4pm...

South West Spring Quilt Festival

This is a great opportunity for all quilting enthusiasts.

The show features a large display of quilts from all over the world as well as patchwork and quilting suppliers stands. Quilting enthusiasts and personalities will be on hand to "show you how", and workshops are available, which can be booked at the show on a first come, first served basis.

There are good on-site facilities including a restaurant, disabled facilities, easy and instant access with free parking.

Official Turin Shroud replica comes to Tiverton

An official replica of the Turin Shroud will be on display at St Andrew’s Church, Blundell’s Avenue, Tiverton from Tuesday 30 April until Sunday 5 May, 2013, from 10.30am to 4.30pm daily.

The Shroud will be on loan from Pam Moon, whose sister and brother-in-law, a local Vicar, worshipped at St Andrew’s before moving to North Devon.

There are just 10 replicas of the Turin Shroud, but this is the only one in the UK that is touring round to various cathedrals and churches.

Salcombe Hill Walk - from the Bronze Age to 19th Century enclosure

A walk around the Salcombe Regis area, a landscape that has greatly changed since Peter Orlando Hutchinson's day as he records in detail the land being enclosed into the fields.

This walk takes in Bronze Age standing stones, first identified and mapped by Hutchinson, but also includes a lime kiln and a beautifully shaped standing stone.

The team from Escot Education will show you how to make pottery, make flour, cook on an open fire, turn wood, and dress like a true Iron Age villager. A fun hands-on way for the whole family to discover the world of the people who built this impressive hillfort.

East Devon AONB Heritage Week: High Peak Walk

Visit the site which first inspired Peter Orlando Hutchinson to become a landscape archaeologist. High Peak today once again resembles the open hill-top Hutchinson once knew. Recent tree-felling allowed excavation (in September 2011) of what is left of this much eroded site which dates to two discrete time periods: Neolithic (prehistoric) and Dark Age (early historic).

Tales to Tell - storytelling by Clare Viner

'Death, a Yew tree and a Well full of Bones...' All may feature in a morning of stories told in the Haunts Bar at the Hare and Hounds pub.

Clare Viner has been telling stories for over 10 years and has recently written a book based on folktales of the Blackdown Hills and the Quantocks. "This pub and the whole area are steeped in wonderful legends - lets sing them alive - if we dare!"

Entrance is free, but please buy a drink before you settle down to be entertained.
