The way many people work has changed forever since the coronavirus pandemic.

More people are working from home or adopting a hybrid option shared between work and home – and Work Hubs across Devon are playing a key role in helping provide flexibility for people looking for workspace.

The Devon Work Hub network launched in 2012, initially with two work hubs. It has since expanded to 24 coworking spaces across the county and it’s continuing to grow.

New year, new branch for Donaldson Timber Engineering

Leading timber engineering manufacturer Donaldson Timber Engineering Ltd (DTE) has opened its tenth branch in the UK with a new location in Exeter.

The new branch in the south west of England will service Devon and the surrounding area, including Cornwall.

DTE has recruited a team of 12 for the branch, including Karol Radziejowski who takes up the role of general manager following three years as general manager of the Cambridge site. Karol has worked at DTE for 13 years, starting as a production operative in Ilkeston in September 2009.

Pupils from across the South West have taken part in a moving academic conference to mark Holocaust Memorial Day at the University of Exeter.

This year marks 78 years since the liberation of the largest Nazi death camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau, and the end of the Holocaust. The aim of Holocaust Memorial Day is to encourage people to learn about the past, to unite in remembrance of those who were murdered for who they were and stand against prejudice and hatred.
