Police release Evofit of man wanted for stabbing

Officers have released an Evofit of the man they wish to question in relation to the assault on a bus driver in South Farm Road, Budleigh Salterton on 25th October.

The driver, a man in his mid 50s, was out of the Stagecoach bus at the time when he was approached by a man who assaulted him in a completely unprovoked attack, sustaining a stab wound to his right thigh. The offender then ran off.

The offender is described as being white, aged over 25, slim to medium build with long dark hair just off the collar.

Youngsters have a ball at rugby community camp

Whilst some youngsters may have been happy putting their feet up and relaxing this half-term break, there were those others who opted to take part in the latest Exeter Chiefs Community Camp right here at Sandy Park.

In the region of 70 children, aged between six and sixteen, took to the field for the two-day October camp, which allows them to hone their skills alongside our experienced coaching team of Marc Dibble, Tom Viljoen, Mark Lee, Gary Kingdom, Tony Yapp and Henry Cast.

Pride, anger and defiance on display at Exeter Library

There was standing room only at a public meeting organised by KONP South West and 38 Degrees in Exeter on Monday evening.

The packed meeting heard from five keynote speakers who described the threats now faced by the NHS. They then suggested ways in which the fight to protect the NHS could be taken forward. TUC warns government: don't forget the SW

The TUC has warned the government not to forget the South West when it implements Lord Heseltine's report on boosting regional growth.

1,000 new homes given the go ahead in Exeter

Plans for a combined total of almost 1,000 new homes in Exeter have been given the go-ahead by the City Council.

The homes were proposed in eight planning applications that were agreed at the two October meetings of the City Council’s Planning Committee.

The proposals include over 200 affordable homes and contributions to local infrastructure, such as roads and schools, through legal agreements and future New Homes Bonus exceeding £18 million.
