Police appeal for help in search for missing Exeter man

Police in Exeter are appealing for information to help trace a missing man.

Lee Willingham, aged 39 years, was reported missing on Sunday 14 July having last been seen at around 6.30am at his home in Exeter on Thursday 11 July.

Willingham is described as a white man 5ft 8" in height and of medium build. He wears glasses and has dark brown and greying cropped hair and a dark brown goatee beard. He habitually wears shorts and a linen shirt.

He drives a Renault Megane vehicle, which police believe he parked in Strand Street Car Park, Plymouth on 11 or 12 July.

The South West TUC is calling on employers to do the sensible thing and temporarily relax workplace dress codes.

Now the sun is out and the temperature has soared, many workplaces have become unbearably hot with many employees visibly wilting at their desks, says the TUC.

The TUC would also like to see the Health and Safety Executive amend the approved code of practice – which covers workplace conditions – so that it introduces a new maximum legal temperature at work.

HRH The Duchess of Cornwall was in Exeter yesterday (Tuesday 16 July) visiting the children, young people and team at WESC Foundation, an Exeter-based charity offering learning, care and therapy to more than 100 children and young people with sight loss and complex needs.

Honiton Primary half way to their iPad goal

Businesses across Honition were invited to an open evening at Honiton Primary School last week (11 July) to learn more about the school and to have an opportunity to be a part of its future.

They were treated to a tour of the school and enjoyed a presentation on the journey the school has taken over the past five years as well as a view of what the future holds.

Appeal to trace mother and son's last movements at Haytor

Detectives investigating the death of a mother and son at Haytor will be returning to Dartmoor one week after the tragic event to appeal for the public’s help to establish the pair’s last movements.

Katherine Hooper, 24, and her five-year-old son Joshua died after falling from rocks last Friday (12 July). Police later discovered the body of her two-year-old son Sam at her home in Dukes Close, Paignton.

Detectives are trying to establish the movements of Katherine and Joshua in the 24 hours prior to their death.
