Marketing - The Facts!

In a recent survey of Devon and Cornwall Small Businesses only 13% of the businesses surveyed conduct Marketing Planning and yet 90% said that they see Marketing as important to the success of their business with 56% seeing it as critical to success*.

So what’s the problem? Why is there such a huge gap between those that do and those that don’t?

We believe it’s to do with 3 important factors: • The Perception of Marketing and the belief that anyone can do it • The Confusion about what’s out there and who to trust • The Price of professional advice

The Perception of...

More people choosing to do other things leads to review of Council day services

More people with care needs are choosing to use money allocated to them by the Council, through personal budgets, to pursue hobbies and interests or access local activities, groups and clubs than attend Council-run day centres.

The numbers of people accessing day centres in Devon have fallen by nearly 66% since 2005. Some of the Council’s day centres now have just a small number of attendees, and service users and carers are telling the Council that it needs to modernise.

Regain control of your life at every level

No one ever accused Larry Winget of mincing words. Larry, who is often referred to as the Pitbull of Personal Development, wouldn’t take very kindly to it anyway. His books, speeches and television appearances leave no doubt about where he stands and why he feels the way he does. Screen shot 2013-09-19 at 10.21.42 AM I admire Larry’s courage to speak plainly and without concern for “political correctness,” particularly when writing about a topic that involves convictions and self-confidence. His latest book is bound to pop a few eyeballs, probably starting with the title: “Grow A Pair: How...
