Police are appealing for witnesses following two assaults in a Honiton pub. Police would like to speak with anyone who was in the Three Tunns on Saturday night (8 February 2014.) A 46-year-old man suffered slight bruising to both eyes in an assault at around 11.30pm inside the pub. Two men, a 20-year-old and an 18-year-old, were later arrested on suspicion of assault. A new study led by the University of Exeter and Swansea University claims researchers have pinpointed the changes in the brain that lead gamblers to react in the same way to near-misses as they do to winning.
