We've been hearing about the phenomenon of Sasha Regan's quirky take on Gilbert & Sullivan for some time and are thrilled to be able to bring the latest production to Exeter. One of the most popular G&S operas, dealing with the age old conundrum of love between social classes, HMS Pinafore has infectious tunes and a beautifully constructed libretto – a perfect match for Sasha Regan's inimitable style, fresh, fast, inventive and fun.

Young people encouraged to build SW businesses

Youth charity The Prince’s Trust is urging more unemployed young people in the South West to embrace their inner entrepreneur and explore the option of self-employment thanks to financial backing from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme, which helps jobless young people to start up in business, has already created more than £3.1 million in social value for the South West alone, according to research published by the charity last year .

Police warning after family allegedly cycle on Dawlish line

A photo which allegedly shows a family cycling on the rail line between Exeter and Dawlish has led to warnings against using the line from British Transport Police and Network Rail. The photograph appeared on social media apparently showing a family of cyclists using the tracks in the Powderham area while work continues by Network Rail to repair damage caused by severe weather earlier this month. A mother of two from Exeter has organised a 5k buggy push through Exeter to raise money for mothers around the world this Saturday, 1 March, at 2pm.

Sarah Merson who is 28 and from Exeter and her friend 25-year-old Jess Reeman from Collumpton are leading the 5k buggy push through Exeter with other parents and families to raise money for Oxfam's Motherhood appeal which celebrates mums around the world. Most people will have undertaken an IQ test at some point in their lives. Head coach Rob Baxter believes Ceri Sweeney has a key role to play within the Exeter Chiefs make-up after he today agreed terms on a new one-year deal with the Aviva Premiership club.

ABBA fans in Exeter have chance to see UK's number one tribute act

THE UK'S official number one ABBA tribute band are heading to Tiverton Golf Club, Devon, in April.

ABBA Revival won the accolade at the recent National Tribute Awards, hosted by The Agents' Association.

Their show at the golf club on Friday 4 April sold out within two weeks in January.

The quick sell-out prompted the club to book a second date with the same band on Thursday 3 April (7pm), which is open to everyone.
