Devon took home the honours in a thrilling football match with Cornwall at the Stephens Scown Inter-County Shield. In a reversal of the 2013 result, the Devon team won 5-4.
The annual match, which is organised by leading South West law firm Stephens Scown LLP, took place at Launceston FC on Friday, 9 May. The husband of a Devon woman killed while on a fundraising cycle challenge has thanked donators from around the world for their generosity. Sharon Bridgman, 38, was killed in April after she was struck by a motorist whilst on a round-the-world, to raise money for the charity Shelterbox, with her husband.
