Renewable energy specialist shortlisted for national Solar Power award and South West Green Energy Award

Devon renewable energy specialist SunGift Solar has two major achievements to celebrate today after being selected as a finalist in two separate prestigious ‘Installer of the Year’ awards.

YMCA Exeter Interns set themselves admirable challenge in first week

Four out of the six new YMCA Exeter Ten:10 Interns have signed up for the charities Great West Run team in the first week of them being in the city.

All four boys, who are not only giving a year of their lives to serve the charity through their time and effort, are also running the 13.1 mile route to help combat youth homelessness.

A leading South West law firm has been shortlisted for two prestigious industry awards.

Stephens Scown LLP, which has offices in Exeter, Truro and St Austell has been shortlisted for the Modern Law Awards in the Law Firm of the Year and Client Care Initiative of the Year categories. The winners will be announced at an event in London on 15 October.

Everys Solicitors has welcomed animal welfare and countryside sports law specialist Jamie Foster to the firm.

Police appeal after cyclist found dead

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man died in Axminster on Monday 22 September.

At 10.30am a male cyclist was found dead next to his bike in Castle Hill, Axminster.

The cyclist was has not been named but is thought to be a 77 year-old man local to the area.

The circumstances of his death are not believed to be suspicious but police are appealing for witnesses.

An ambulance was called and the road was closed while investigations took place at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference...

Young cyclists have the opportunity to take part in a Go Ride Racing cyclo-cross event for beginners on Saturday (27 September).
