Just when it looked the Exeter Chiefs had taken two significant steps forward in this season’s Aviva Premiership, they sadly allowed one back as Newcastle Falcons claimed a priceless victory at Kingston Park.
Not since October 27 last year when London Irish were turned over 20-13 had Dean Richards’ side experienced the sweet taste of victory.
They were, however, the ‘Toast of the Toon’ come the final whistle on this occasion as tries from Sinoti Sinoti, Tom Catterick and Noah Cato, plus 14 points from the boot of playmaker Juan-Pablo Socino, helped them to end a 20-game...
An Exeter School sixth former has helped raise valuable funds for local charity, the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, by organising a World Cup-themed charity day and raising over £3,000.
Upper Sixth Former Emily Ackland first got hooked on fund raising when she cycled from London to Paris last summer raising over £11,000 for PAPYRUS.
She said it was then that she experienced the satisfying feeling of fundraising for charity.
"It is very fulfilling to know that you are helping others whilst also pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone," said Emily.

And this morning Exeter MP Ben Bradshaw added his clout to the argument.
He said: "The failure this year by Devon County Council to control Exeter's weeds has been bad enough but the proposal from them to do nothing at all next year beggars belief.
"Exeter City Council is facing equally serious budgetary constraints, yet it manages to do a...
