Fando & Lis; fable about Love and Death (7pm)

La Casa en Llamas (The Burning house) This is an atypical love history. We were working on creating a close relationship between Fando and Lis and a third character which we created and added to the original script (the character is Death) to try to create our version of the original play. We are performing using our mother tongue (Spanish), physical theatre, symbolism and all our acting skills to create this piece of theatre.

Fando and Lis don’t live in any special place, in any particular time, nor in any common reality....

Exeter Chiefs side to face Gloucester

Authored by Mark Stevens
Posted: Fri, 01/02/2015 - 12:06pm

It all began with a home fixture against Gloucester and now 99 Aviva Premiership games later, it’s the Cherry & Whites who again provide the opposition for Exeter Chiefs as they prepare to engage in their 100th top flight game tomorrow (4:30pm).

Back in September 2010, Rob Baxter’s side wasted little time in introducing themselves to English rugby’s top table for the first time. Taking little notice of Gloucester’s proven Premiership credentials, the new kids on the block sounded their future intent by bloodying the nose of their rivals, claiming a memorable 22-10 success at...

Exeter City at home to start the New Year

Match preview: Exeter City v Accrington Stanley

It was only recently that the Exeter City and Accrington Stanley met at the Crown Ground in Sky Bet League 2, with the Grecians 3-2 winners that evening.

Five weeks on, the teams meet again – this time in front of the St James Park crowd for the inaugural game of 2015. With two home clean-sheets on the bounce, City will be aiming to secure a third and using that as a base for victory.

The congested Christmas period was somewhat lessened for Stanley, who didn’t have a fixture last Sunday after their home tie against...

Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter

Only A Fool... is a show based on Gogol's The Government Inspector.

The actors explored ideas around what makes us do foolish things and the sometimes the very thin line that can divide comedy and tragedy in human nature.

The show is fun, fast paced and uses episodic action and multi rolling to explore the use of the clown and character work within storytelling.
