Westpoint has issued an apology after some music fans missed out on Elton John's concert in Exeter last night.
Five-mile tailbacks built up going into the showground, leading to chaotic scenes.
Westpoint bosses used twitter to keep those trying to attend informed.
They said a mixture of issues had contributed to the problems including a number of minor accidents.
One tweet said: "We are sorry people are experiencing delays due to traffic jams. The management are fully aware of the situation and are taking on feedback."
