A University of Exeter lecturer has been honoured with a medal and prize for his outstanding contribution to experimental Physics.
Dr Jacopo Bertolotti, of the University’s department of Physics and Astronomy, has been awarded the Moseley Medal and Prize for 2016 by the Institute of Physics (IOP), after judges decided that his work has made a substantial contribution to the development of physics in the UK and Ireland.

Police have arrested a man after a substantial cannabis seizure in Axminster.
Officers were called to the former Axe Vale Social club, in Chard Street, after reports of a strong smell of cannabis in the area.
The officers attended the address around 7.30 pm on Thursday 7 July and arrested a 27 year old man on suspicion of production of the class B drug.
The cannabis was spread over three floors, and due to the extensive amount of equipment and plants found a specialist team of officers will go back to seize the material.
Police are continuing to assist Dartmoor Zoological Park staff in the search for a two year old male Carpathian lynx which escaped from its enclosure overnight between Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th July 2016.
The lynx is a wild cat approximately the size of a Labrador. If members of the public sight it they should call 999 immediately quoting log 252 of 7th July 2016. The animal should not be approached as it could be dangerous if alarmed or cornered.
The lynx is believed to be on farm land outside the boundary of the park following a sighting by a member of park staff....
