George Stafford, 19, has been shortlisted as Donor Champion of the Year at the Anthony Nolan Supporter Awards 2016. The prestigious Anthony Nolan Supporter Awards are back for their fourth year to celebrate, recognise and thank the outstanding supporters who keep the pioneering blood cancer charity moving forward. Exeter and East Devon Enterprise Zone moved a step closer to becoming operational on Wednesday (9 November) as both Devon County Council and East Devon District Council agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Government. Exmouth sailor wins prestigious award for enabling people with disabilities to sail

An Exmouth sailor will be presented with one of the Royal Yachting Association’s most prestigious awards by HRH the Princess Royal, President of the RYA, in recognition of his significant contribution to enabling people with disabilities to get involved in sailing at Exe Sailing Club (ESC).

Blacksmiths from all over the country are set to gather at the National Trust’s Finch Foundry on Saturday 19 November. Nearly 3,000 visits have been made to a new website for Devon's military service leavers, veterans, reservists and their families in the first four months since its launch.

The most visited web pages have been for information about housing, support for military families, about employment, and health matters.

The Devon Forces Family website, www.devonforcesfamily.org.uk , was launched in July by Devon County Council as an online directory of services, a one-stop-shop, and supports all people connected with the armed forces.

Charities set to light up Princesshay this Christmas

Princesshay’s Roman Walk will come alive with festive cheer as the centre hosts its fourth Charity Christmas Tree Festival, starting on the 18th November.

The festival, which aims to raise both awareness and funds for local charities, will be opened with a celebratory light switch-on by the Lord Mayor of Exeter at 5.00pm on Friday 18 November.
