Exeter's Tyler Grange names Jon Berry as Managing Director, as Simon Ursell moves to Chair

Exeter-based B Corp four-day week firm environmental consultancy Tyler Grange has appointed Jon Berry as Managing Director. He supersedes Simon Ursell, who becomes Chair of the firm.

Pupils from six local primary schools have taken part in a tag rugby festival at West Exe School, part of the Ted Wragg Multi-Academy Trust , thanks to the school’s Primary Sports Offer.

The primary schools taking advantage of West Exe’s Primary Sports Offer are Alphington, Exwick Heights, Ide, Bowhill, St Gabriel’s and St Thomas. Each school is invited to participate in six festivals across the school year, these involve a wide range of sports from cross country and multi skills to tag rugby.

Leading charity Diabetes UK is putting a call out to people from Devon to take part in a sponsored swimming challenge, which raises vital funds for the charity, this spring.

Swim22 runs between 22 March and 22 June and involves swimming a total of 22 miles –the same width as the English Channel. Participants can take on the challenge at their own pace, in their local pool or the open water, accumulating the miles across the course of the 12 weeks.

Exeter City Swimming Club success at Devon County Championships

Exeter City Swimming Club took their largest ever team to the championships which were held over three weekends in January and February at the Plymouth Life Centre.

84 Swimmers aged from nine upwards competed against the top swimmers in Devon in events that they had qualified for earlier in the season and were rewarded with 131 medals.

Exeter also took home the prestigious Interclub award, where clubs from across the county battle it out in a series of individual races and team relays to earn points.
