Stitching, Sewing & Hobbycrafts returns to Westpoint, Exeter this September with 160 stands full of must-have craft supplies and a wealth of inspiration for makers. The show is a haven for those who love to craft and has been a must visit event in Exeter for 28 years.

New to the Exeter show is Bertha, the Colour-in Caravan. Kate Edmunds, Bertha’s owner, found the vintage caravan neglected and dilapidated and lovingly restored her as a colouring-in extravaganza.

Kate said: “Children are free to colour the caravan itself, using our special washable pens (so no worries...

Comedian Rich Hall books Exeter date

Rich Hall and his Hoedown band begin their second leg of touring this autumn with their Hoedown show for 2017. Never has there been a better time to be an American comedian in the UK.

Hall’s precision dismantling of the tenuous relationship between the two countries is as freewheeling and deadly accurate as ever.

This Hoedown tour begins as a withering dissection of Trump’s America and all of its twists and turns, but ends up in a celebration of Americana. There’s stand-up, improvised ballads, cracking good musicianship, and ultimately a hilarious, foot-stomping, shit-...

Tisdale happy with his side's 1-0 win over Newport County

Exeter City manager, Paul Tisdale, was happy with his side’s resilience after the Grecians sealed a 1-0 win over Newport County AFC.

Lee Holmes’ second half goal was the difference between the two sides, as City battled against a strong Newport team that also created chances and arguably dominated the first half of the match.

Tisdale said: “It’s a nice scoreline, 1-0. I asked the players to be strong defensively and I think we were today. Newport played extremely well, I have to say, they played some really good football and had the best attacking play but I thought we...
