The predictions have finally come true; we have killed our planet. Humanity has been forced underground, away from a surface that is no longer inhabitable, and is now running on borrowed time. When the power supply to this new home is cut off, a young group of friends, desperate to save their community, try to turn it back on. They are forced to confront their environment, their inheritance, and each other, and all the while time is running out…

Exeter Northcott Theatre’s Young Company re-launches with this re-imagining of Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

Following a week long residency exploring the themes of Coleridge’s classic work, the young actors combine the original text with physical theatre techniques to present a version of the poem which speaks to them as 21st Century teenagers.

Dartmoor Rangers are calling for caring individuals to join them on a series of #2 minute litter picks at heavily visited sites in the National Park during August.

Former Gloucester powerhouse Junior Paramore has said he cannot understand why Exeter Chiefs legend Gareth Steenson hasn’t been picked for his national side.

Overnight resurfacing on Heavitree Road

Overnight resurfacing work will be carried out on Heavitree Road in Exeter over the next two weeks.

Sections of the road will be closed from 7pm to 7am on Wednesday (2 August), Thursday (3 August) and Friday (4 August). The road will then be completely reopened at night time over the weekend, before overnight closures resume the following week on the evenings of Monday 7 August, Tuesday 8 August and Wednesday 9 August. Crafts, information and wildlife activities come to Exmouth

A fun-filled family day is being held on Exmouth's Maer Local Nature Reserve on Friday August 4 and East Devon District Council 's Countryside team will be there along with a number of other wildlife organisations.

The day starts at 10am where local Tai Chi instructor, Sam Forder will run a free 30 minute Tai Chi taster session.

The fun continues with a range of information and activities on offer including bug hunting, rockpooling and natural crafts. The event will have stalls from a number of organisations including the RSPB, Devon Loves Dogs and the Pebblebed Heaths...
