Anyone who has an online presence needs a photo of themselves, and while a cheeky smartphone snap might be perfect for your personal Facebook page, it isn’t going to cut it when it comes to professional websites and services. Sites such as LinkedIn, a must-have for networking and self-promotion, require a current, authentic photograph of your face for your profile.
This kind of site is a shop window for your skills and experience, but none of that will count for anything if your profile photo shows a blurry selfie of you at your cousin’s wedding! My smartphone takes great photos...

Two researchers from the University of Exeter have made a positive start to 2018 and put their New Year’s resolutions into action as they strive for success in completing an epic 350 mile cycle ride.

Dr Llewellyn knows how tough preparation can be. He had planned to join a team of six dementia researchers on the ride last summer – but had to withdraw after breaking his wrist when he fell off his...
Exeter’s hopes of dining out with Europe’s elite in the latter stages of this season’s Champions Cup were sadly burnt to pieces in a crucial ten minute spell here at Scotstoun.
With little to choose between the Chiefs and hosts Glasgow Warriors at the break, it was the Scotsmen who prospered in the second period, claiming a first European win of the season, and with it extinguishing Exeter’s hopes of a last eight place.
A controversial yellow card against Chiefs scrum-half Nic White not only saw him banished from the action midway through the half, but the penalty try and...

Despite late pressure from the home side, City hung on and claimed an excellent three points on the road.
Paul Tisdale made just one change to the side that beat Coventry City last time out as...
