The TSB in Exmouth is urging people to ‘Take Five’ to stop fraud. Next phase of A380 improvements due to start

The latest phase of a programme of repairs on the A380 will start next week.

The work at Ware Barton is due to start on Monday 29 January and is expected to take around two months to complete. The majority of the work on this section of the road will involve the replacement of the existing waterproofing of the two bridges over the junction, but it will also include the replacement of barriers, reconstruction of the pavement, vegetation clearance and drains will also be cleaned. After eight extraordinary years, The Bike Shed Theatre and Bar will close its doors on 31 March.

The Bike Shed first opened as a pop-up, transforming two dank cellars into a make-shift cocktail bar and theatre. Around one hundred and eighty people attended a seminar last week organised by CPRE Devon to address the controversial issue of where new homes should be built in Exeter, East Devon, Teignbridge and Mid Devon.

The RD&E is to extend the temporary suspension of birth services at Honiton and Okehampton birth centres for a further three months.

Good progress has been made to recruit staff into vacancies within the wider Maternity Service, but ongoing staff sickness and high patient demand in the acute unit in Exeter means we have not yet been able to reach acceptable staffing levels. Exeter College today announced that a record breaking 24 students are holding offers to study at Oxford and Cambridge starting in 2018. Week long closure of Iron Bridge in Exeter

Iron Bridge in Exeter will be closed next week for routine maintenance to be carried out.

The road will be closed between Paul Street and Dinham Road from Monday 29 January until Friday 2 February to enable new width restriction bollards and signs to be installed.
