City businesses cycle for charity

Exeter Business Club’s chosen charity this year is CEDA, the Exeter based organisation that offers learning and social opportunities to disabled adults and children. CEDA’s Craig Bowden, seen here centre left, received a cheque for £1,500 from the club’s secretary Ben Didier.

Every year EBC chooses a city-based charity as their chosen cause. Funds are raised through membership fees and a variety of social events. Club members even joined in CEDA’s recent cycling challenge by riding three static bikes and pedalling away throughout one of their meetings.

There was a surprise in store for children at Heathcoat Primary School in Tiverton when an unusual competitor turned up and took part in their annual sports day.

Schoolchildren, teachers and parents alike were thrilled to see George the Mouse arrive, but their delight turned to surprise when the 6ft mouse lined up alongside the children to take part in the races.
