Exeter’s rising cycling star George Pym says that racing in the Tour of Britain through his home county next week will be one of the highlights of his professional career so far.

George Pym, 24, will be riding in the Tour of Britain from Sunday 2 September – Devon Stage 2, takes place on the following day on Monday 3 September.

Stage 2 will be hosted by Devon County Council and supported by East Devon District Council and North Devon Council.

It may only be August, but the stars of this year's Christmas pantomime were in town on Tuesday to launch this year's show.

Following the huge success of last year's pantomime Cinderella Exmouth Pavilion have once again teamed up with north west pantomime company Trio Entertainment to bring the much loved traditional story of Aladdin to Exmouth this Christmas.

University of Exeter business incubator partnership set to contribute £26.9 billion to UK economy and 22,000 jobs by 2030

The SETsquared Partnership, the global no.1 business incubation and start-up growth acceleration network, comprising five research-intensive universities: Exeter, Bath, Southampton, Bristol and Surrey, will contribute £26.9 billion to the UK economy by 2030, independent research undertaken by Warwick Economics and Development (WECD) has found. In October, exetreme imagination – Exeter’s biennial festival of writing and stories – will unlock imaginations for young people across the city. 200th volunteer joins the search for Devon’s Roman history

The 200th volunteer has joined the search for more clues about the Roman occupation of Devon at a major archaeological dig in the county.

Members of the community and experts from the University of Exeter are once again investigating fields near Ipplepen, in South Devon, to discover more about a site occupied by Iron Age, Roman, and early medieval communities who lived more than a thousand years ago.
