The Devon County Agricultural Association (DCAA) has announced the launch of The Prince of Wales Award 2019.
The Award, which the DCAA has run for 34 years, is open to Devon-based community projects. Entries are encouraged from all areas of the community, from schools through to small farm diversification projects. The emphasis, reflecting HRH the Prince of Wales’ personal beliefs, is on sustainability and young people.
Entries are judged by a panel from the DCAA and the winner is selected based on their outstanding contribution.
Comedian, writer, broadcaster and all-round British institution Arthur Smith hosts an evening of laughter and off the wall humour at Exeter Library on Thursday 28th February.
Visitors can expect an evening of sublime playfulness, crammed with jokes, anecdotes, short stories, poems, songs (at least 1 from Leonard Cohen) and readings from his recently published memoir ‘My Name Is Daphne Fairfax’ which has won praise from literary critics. Last year, Exeter City Council put in a formalplanning permission for a brand-new skate park. Designed to replace the old Arena Park skate park, the site was chosen by pro skaters in the area.
